Alexis Terzian

RMFTI

Hi, I’m Alexis, a Registered Marriage and Family Therapy intern based in Broward County, Florida. I graduated with a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University in 2024. I work primarily with adolescents, teens and young adults on issues like depression, anxiety, trauma, relational issues, and self esteem.

I utilize a systemic approach to guide clients to better understand the broader context in which individual and interpersonal difficulties form and maintain. Using a combination of Solution Focused and Narrative therapy, I work with clients on establishing goals, utilizing their personal strengths, and exploring new perspectives on their experience. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own experience, and therefore deserves a space in which to collaborate regarding solutions and positive changes best-suited to their own goals and hopes. Every person has a unique story- one that holds both struggles and strengths; together, we can work to identify patterns hindering potential growth, and reframe them in ways that highlight your resilience and strengths. I feel that everyone has strengths and resources within them- my goal as a therapist is to help you recognize those strengths and continue to build on them.

I am a firm believer that therapy is for everyone as growth is a lifelong process. My goal is to help you reclaim control over your own story, recognize your own strengths, and move forward with the hope and the tools to create a life best suited to your authentic self. If you’re reading this, you may be considering taking a step towards improving your mental and emotional well-being, and I want to extend a warm invitation to you. I look forward to the possibility of working together and helping you on your journey toward creating a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Take the first step towards growth.
