Justin Johansen

LMFT, QS, CCTP

I'm Justin, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Qualified Supervisor (QS), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). My passion lies in helping you and your entire family heal from past wounds and foster a greater sense of curiosity, compassion, and connection with one another.

I view myself as a compassionate guide equipped with the tools to support you in self-exploration. Together, we'll work towards improving your communication skills with loved ones, overcoming protective barriers that hinder authentic connections, and addressing the wounds that hold you back from greatness.

In my individual therapy sessions, I use a combination of approaches such as Schema work, Narrative Therapy, experiential therapy, voice therapy, and various somatic (body) focused techniques.

I'm originally from Delaware and attended Barry University. Over the past 11 years, I've worked in various settings, including Henderson Behavioral Health locations. These experiences at Henderson have ranged from crisis stabilization teams, Baker Act teams, youth and family teams, adult dual diagnosis teams, and more.

My time at Joe Dimaggio Children's Hospital/Memorial Regional Hospital's psychiatric unit further enriched my clinical expertise. My role as the 'family program coordinator' at Recovery First helped me grow further in my experience treating families with addiction. We hosted a two-day family weekend conducting group family therapy. It was amazing. I have completed training and education in human trafficking, abuse, family trauma, emotionally focused therapy, TF-CBT, CCTP, Hypnosis, Gottman approach, and IFS.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a bit about me. It's an honor to be a part of your healing journey.

Take the first step towards growth.
