Nika Minaeva is a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. She obtained her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Bethel University San Diego, California.
As a holistic and tri-lingual therapist Nika focuses on the unique strengths that her clients bring and uses these to help her clients. She is a Gottman-trained specialist who helps partners develop strategies for preventing and solving conflicts, increasing intimacy and improving communication.
Prior to starting her private practice, Nika worked in residential and outpatient treatment facilities where she gained experience helping patients with severe mental health and addictions. She has experience working in both, outpatient and inpatient levels of care. Nika can help clients identify the root causes of their issues, enabling them to heal and move forward.
She believes that family dynamics impact all aspects of our lives and without proper attunement and concentrated efforts, relationships become fraught with complications.
Nika works with individuals and couples experiencing stress/anxiety, depression, and addictions. She also addressed relationship and intimacy issues. Her approach is warm and collaborative, using various evidence-based techniques such as Bowen, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution focused Therapy, and The Gottman Method to provide a safe space for growth and change.
She has an especially high success rate in improving communication and healing relationships.
Nika's years of practice and experience include working with depression, anxiety, codependency, substance abuse, domestic violence, abuse and trauma, stress, grief, couples and relationships.
