Play Therapy
Play Therapy is an evidence-based counseling approach for kids ages 4-12. By using play, which is a child’s natural language, kids communicate, process emotions, navigate challenges and make steps toward better mental well-being.
At Broward Therapists, our highly trained Play Therapists create a nurturing, safe and supportive space where children can engage in imaginative play, storytelling, art and expressive activities. To kids, it’s just playing, but to us, it’s a therapeutic process that helps kids navigate challenges, develop resilience and better understand their emotions and experiences, promoting healthier mental well-being.
Throughout the sessions, our Play Therapists establish a trusting relationship with each child, providing them with unconditional acceptance and support. Each of our therapists uses age-appropriate interventions and techniques to address various concerns, including anxiety, trauma, grief, behavioral issues and social difficulties.
By working collaboratively with parents and caregivers, we ensure a holistic approach that will promote positive changes that extend beyond the therapy sessions for you and your child.
