Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Canicia Smith Fostin
LMHC, CCTP, MCAP
Canicia works with teens ages 16 and older and adults navigating anxiety, mood-related concerns, trauma, and difficulties managing stress. Her clinical interests include low self-esteem, grief and loss, substance use concerns, and relationship challenges.
If you’re struggling to communicate your needs, cope with changing responsibilities, or feel connected to others, Canicia offers space to explore those concerns and build practical skills. She supports clients adjusting to new roles and working through recurring interpersonal difficulties.
Canicia brings extensive knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to her work. She draws from these approaches to help clients understand thought and behavior patterns, manage emotions, cope with distress, and strengthen communication and relationship skills. Care is guided by each client’s needs and goals.

Good things to ask.
Caseloads, formats and areas of focus change over time, so the practice answers these on the phone rather than publishing something that may be out of date.
